Well here are my 3 tips to have your team step up and support you to have a well run dental practice so you can do less and make more money.
- Create a compelling vision and share this with your team. Have goals, have a dream. What is your why – why did you become a dentist, open your own practice? Where do you want to be, what do you want your dental practice to be known for, what will be your legacy? Get you team to buy into this, make it their reason for coming to work, make it their why and more than just a J.O.B.
- Systemise Everything and delegate it to your team. Do what you like to do, what you are good at, what adds the most value – stick to drilling teeth. The rest delegate or hire for. Write it all down and teach them how to do it.
- Train and Empower your team. Teach them how you do things, how you want them to be done, then train, train, train them until they do it like second nature, in their sleep. Review them, hold them accountable and follow up to make sure its getting done your way. Allow your team to help you and stop trying to control them and micromanage everything. Learn to trust them and let them step up by empowering them in your business.
You can get your team working for you so you can work less hours and make more money… you simply need the courage to do it and a plan of action to implement.
